They probably understand it and are fine with it, because they know in the long run they will get something out of it.
I am not talking about some veterans or people with a good sense of what albion online is about. People who have not grasped the concept of the game yet and need a lot to learn. If its not for you, its completely fine, find another guild. Its not about being in a top guild though, its just one way of playing. If you want black zones, you need a lot of resources and people who go there understand that so they dont mind giving guild most of theirs share if it means high tier town and maps to gather in with better chance of finding rare resources. You just wait till someone builds up the town, makes it cheaper and you have fun while they do it. What does a new player get from having nearly no silver, no mats and is basically left to its own devices.
If your guild don't get to claim territories for you to later farm materials in then you also lose out. The fact that you call those kind of guilds for scammers only shows you fail to see the greater picture and that you are a newbie. This is basically how all top pvp competitive guilds work the first week.
